Oh, wow ~ I love this ~ especially the dark somber coloring....I was a history major ~ so, anything "old" truly brings a twinkle to my eye...thanks for so poignantly capturing the beauty of this treasure!!

Thanks for this photograph Adrian because it brought back wonderful memories for me of some old fishermen back along the french shore who made models of ships for bottles.

I would love to be able to return to this era, if only for an hour or so. Probably not so good for the sailors though! I can picture a seaman in period costume. So evocative:)
