Nubble

Well, what I can say, I needed to bring in here the "Nubble" light in full view including the sea. It was an interesting evening, the photographer that you see in the picture, on the left, in the rocks, had a tripod and was trying to get his best shot. I was probably a couple of hundreds of feet behind him and I also needed to make the shot. So, taking him out of the frame was not an option, since I would ruin the picture, my shot was done handheld.

  1. What a beautiful place with or without the photographer. :) It took me years before I invested in a tripod because it slows me down. I prefer not to take one with me unless I'm doing night shooting.

  4. The same as you Karen, usually I don't like to be slowed down. I move around often looking for different angles. I have a tripod but indeed I only carry it in rare situations. The trick is to hold that camera as steady as you can, I can shoot handheld a 30 speed and sometimes lower, you get used to it.

  11. Hi Adrian.
A really nice place to photograph: sea, island, green grass... the contrast of the colours gives it a unique touch.
Liked it very much and agree that the guy in the pic must hav some good photos too...
By the way, what's the mean of those little adds in the side of your blog?
    See you
    Marco
