In my wanders around the State of Vermont I had the opportunity to photograph the State House in Montpelier. A wonderful building, a good place to spend the afternoon and enjoy the Capital.

I lived in downtown Montpelier for a couple of years. My son was born over in Berlin... the tiny town just over the hill to the Northwest. If you look back to the beginning of my blog, the photos of my daughter and friends in the pink trees were taken on the State House lawn in the Spring of 2008. Nice to see it again! :)
The grounds are lovely and the dome is a beautiful gold. I visited the California State Capitol today and it's nowhere near as beautiful.
Hi Adrian, Beautiful shots, looks like a great place to visit.
Nice photos of the state house....I love the gold dome! And of course the flowers.
Um belo edificio sem duvida
This is lovely. I was at the State Capitol in Denver last week....a beautiful building to, but not so nice surroundings. I can imagine that this is what they originally intended.....
